Meet Christie

Christie and her husband William have lived in Tipton County since 2000 and in District 7 since 2004. She has 3 grown children, an adorable 3 year old granddaughter, and has cared for many children as a home child care provider and foster parent. She is an honors graduate of Dyersburg State Community College and is currently enrolled in  the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work program at the University of Memphis.  She is an inducted member of the National Society of Leadership and Success UofM chapter.

Throughout the years, Christie has been involved in the community by serving on the following boards:

• Amanda’s Way

• CASA of Tipton County

• Celebrate Munford

• Junior Auxiliary of Tipton County

• National Association of Junior Auxiliaries

• Relay for Life of Tipton County

• Three Star Volunteer Fire Department

• Woodmen Life Covington Chapter

In addition to serving on the boards listed, Christie volunteers with the following:

• American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network Lead Ambassador for Congressional District 8

• American Red Cross Disaster Action Team

Christie was named Ms. Tipton County in 2013 and Volunteer of the Year in 2018 in The Leader’s Readers’ Choice Awards for her passion for serving the community through volunteering.
